Mellow Mushroom Sterling Silver and Vintage Tin Earrings

These earrings are over-the-top groovy! The mushroom image is made from sterling silver sheet metal and compressed with a hydraulic press and then soldered onto a sterling silver background silver frame. The reverse of the earrings are a vintage boy and girl face from a vintage tin. The silver frame and the tin is hand-riveted and the earring bail is coiled silver with fine sterling silver wire. The flower is crystal, and the ear wires are hand-constructed from sterling silver. These earrings are the total package at 2 inches in length and 1 inch wide.

The vintage tins we use have been in circulation for many years and even decades. Many of these tins held cookies, teas, and cakes back in the 1960s, 1970s, and the 1980s…and later.

There may be some minor scratches and divots. This is all part of the life of the tins we use in our jewelry. Each piece has been hand-cut, filed, and sanded along the edge creating a smooth finished perimeter.
